The Daily Courier and Prescott Newspapers, Inc. have teamed up with the Prescott Area Association of Realtors (PAAR) to post available homes and properties from PAAR's Multiple Listing Service on a new mapping Web site, said PNI Executive Advertising Director Dick Larson."The Web site, www.TodaysRealEstateAZ.com, allows computer users to search for homes and other properties in the Quad-city area using any number of search parameters -- from price and location to the number of bedrooms or bathrooms," explained Richard Haddad, Web Operations and Internet Services Director for the news group.Readers of The Daily Courier also can access the site by logging onto www.dCourier.com."We have wanted to get this up on the dCourier.com site for a long time," Larson said. "We have reached an agreement with PAAR to get a feed from their MLS."The new website "provides a lot of transparency," said Dan Harris, president of PAAR, which has about 1,200 members. "It is another vehicle to market properties and real estate companies and real estate agencies. It does have featured Realtors and featured agents."Larson and other executives at PNI see a lot of advantages to the new site. "The listings are fed through the MLS provider, and it is every day," he said.Larson differentiated the Web site from PNI's monthly Today's Real Estate publication."The purpose of Today's Real Estate is to provide things in print," he said, adding that the purpose of this Web site is to give people a digital online tool."We're very excited about this," said Kit Atwell, publisher of Prescott Newspapers Inc. "It's a partnership that gives real estate customers a bridge to information that will help them make the most of their purchase."
