CV council amends town's tax code to get in line with state's tax code

The Chino Valley Town Council Thursday, after a public hearing, adopted amendments to the town's tax code. Mayor Jim Bunker said this was just to get the town's tax code in line with the state's tax code following changes made by the Legislature.

In other action, the council: Approved an agreement with the Chino Valley Youth Football Association for concession services at the Community Center Sports Complex on Saturday during its tournament.

• Approved an agreement with the American Youth Soccer Organization Region #1410 for concession services at the Community Center Sports Complex on Sept. 13-Nov. 15.

This is the first time the town has did this, Bunker said, but it makes sense because the soccer organization is using the fields during that period.

• Took no action following an executive session to obtain legal advice, and to consider its position and instruct its attorneys regarding pending acquisition of water companies, water service areas and negotiations to include the potential expansion of service areas or to support or oppose it.
