What is it, where is it? - Sept. 8

Matt Hinshaw/The Daily Courier<br>
The correct answer for this past week's "What is it, where is it?" is: the old smoke stack in Mayer on the north side of Highway 69. At the end of the month, we'll put all of the names of the weekly "What is it, where is it?" winners together and one will win a prize from the Courier's prize stash. The winner - with the first, correct answer - this week is Rob Littleton of Prescott. Congratulations, Rob. None of the dozens of callers/emails gave us a completely incorrect answer. Keep guessing, and remember to give "what" it is and "where" it is.

The Daily Courier's Community Page on Tuesdays features "What is it, where is it?" - photos from the local area that we encourage readers to figure out.

The first person to call or e-mail with the correct answer will get their name in the paper the next week along with a more easily recognizable photo of the same scene. Each winner's name will go into a drawing for a prize every month. Correct respondents will be eligible for the prize only in the month in which they answer correctly.
