League of Women Voters meeting features First Things First children's program

The League of  Women Voters of Central Yavapai invite League will feature two children's program guest speakers on Sept. 12 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Las Fuentes Resort Village.

Las Fuentes is located at 1035 Scott Drive in Prescott. The League works on behalf of residents throughout Central Yavapai County.

Nadine  Basha, Founder of First Things First Arizona and Marcia Jacobson, FTF  Regional Coordinator, will talk about the program that they say exists to improve the lives of  children birth through age five to ensure their readiness for  school, and to support their families in preparing them for a lifetime of  success and wellbeing.

Discussion will include goals, mission and status of  First Things First programs and how the organization interacts with Yavapai  County programs. This meeting is free and the  public is welcome and encouraged to attend.
