Prescott library plans events for kids

The Prescott Public Library is open seven days a week. The Prescott Gateway Branch at Gateway Mall is open Tuesday through Saturday. All programs are free and open to the public.

Wednesday, Oct. 28

10 a.m.: Toddler Storytime. Join Mr. Steve for stories, songs and activities selected especially for kids up to 3 years old. Siblings are welcome, and there is no need to register in advance. 777-1537.

1:30 p.m.: Teen Halloween Hullabaloo costume contest. Spooky games and ghoulish treats galore. Open to grades 6-12. 777-1537.

6 p.m.: Join the Community Book Discussion, offered in partnership with the Arizona Humanities Council. This month, facilitator Kathryn Reisdorfer will lead a discussion of "An Unfinished Life." 777-1500.

Thursday, Oct. 29

10 a.m.: Silly Thursday Storytime. A silly, wiggly story time for ages 2-5. Siblings are welcome, and there is no need to register in advance. 777-1537.

3:30 p.m.: Page-Turners with Miss Joan. A read-aloud program for ages six and up with Miss Joan for stories every Thursday afternoon. Some sessions will include crafts or other activities inspired by the stories. 777-1537.

Friday, Oct. 30

10 a.m.: Preschool Storytime. Join Miss Jennifer for stories, finger plays and songs. Each week has a different theme. The program is designed for ages 3-5, but siblings are always welcome. Preschool Storytime is held in the James Children's Activity Room, and lasts about 45 minutes. 777-1537.
