Song of the Pines Chorus gets rehearsal studio

Prescott's Song of the Pines Chorus has been given a place to call home. The rehearsal studio, which has been named "The Jack Solomon Harmony Studio," was donated by local artist Natalie Krol in honor of her husband, Jack Solomon.

Song of the Pines hosted a public dedication ceremony on Oct. 17 at which they sang "Harmonize the World", the mantra of Sweet Adelines International.

This past April, the chorus earned the most improved chorus award and third place in the small chorus division at the annual competition. Currently, they are preparing for their community concerts, offered free to the public, to be presented at the United Methodist Church on Oct. 25 and Shepard of the Hills Lutheran Church on Nov. 22.

In addition to these concerts, the chorus is anxiously rehearsing for their favorite event of the year, Acker Night, Dec. 11. The past few years, they have been honored to sing at the Hassayampa Hotel.
