EDITOR:
On Friday, Sept. 11, the American Legion Post 40 in Chino Valley and motorcyclists from our area did a memorial run. They were well received by people all along the way. Much hard work went into this memorial. The run ended at the Courthouse Plaza, at the Vietnam memorial statue. At 3:15 p.m., the bagpiper played "God Bless America," "The Marine Hymn" and "Taps." During "Taps," a guard came down and informed us that a judge wanted the noise to stop.
We want to ask the judge to forgive us for disrupting his day by paying our respects for those who lost their lives on 9/11. What is "noise" to one person is heartfelt respect for other people.
