Haunted Swamp returns to CV for Halloween
Chino Valley won't have a big haunted house for people to go through during the Halloween season.
However, the Chino Valley Parks and Recreation Department will have its second annual Haunted Swamp for people from the quad-communities to enjoy. And this year, the Chino Valley High School Drama Club is helping with it.
The Haunted Swamp, which is at the Aquatic Center in Chino Valley's Community Center Park, will be open from 6:30-9 p.m. on Oct. 29, 30 and 31. People of all ages are invited. Admission is $1.
It also will be part of Chino Valley's Family Halloween Trick or Treat Party at the Community Center Park at 6 p.m. Oct. 31.
Jason Kelly, Parks and Recreation director, said the Trick or Treat Party will consist of the Haunted Swamp, Trick or Treat, Family Fun, Carnival and Haunted Hay Rides. All events are free except for the $1 admission to the Haunted Swamp.
The Parks and Recreation Department still is accepting vendors for the Trick or Treat event, he said. Vendors have four options. The first is a 10-foot-by-10-foot booth with the vendor providing his own candy for $10. The second option is a 10-foot-by-20-foot booth with the vendor providing his own candy for $20.
The third option is a 10-foot-by-10-foot booth with candy provided for $65, while the fourth option is a 10-foot-by-10-foot booth with candy provided and more advertising space for $95.
