Obituary: Winifred P. Beal

Winifred P. Beal passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, Nov. 18, 2009, in Peoria Ariz., at the age of 80. She was born Sept. 8, 1929 and raised in Detroit, Mich.

Wini was a long-time resident of Arizona, having moved to Phoenix in 1950 with her husband, George E. Beal, Jr., who predeceased her on March 22, 1997. Wini and George were married nearly 49 years and raised two children, Fred and Pauline, in Phoenix, then moved to the Prescott area in 1976 for over 20 years before moving back to the Valley. Wini was a wife, mother, and homemaker most of her life, occasionally performing office duties outside the home. She was an avid bowler, accumulating more trophies than she had room to display. Devotion to family and a fun-loving attitude toward life defined her character.
