Letter: Mother seeks help for late son's unit
EDITOR:
I am Jasmine Crowl, and my son Chief Warrant Officer 3, Cornell Chao, was killed in action in Iraq on Jan. 28, 2007. We are sending Christmas packages to soldiers in his group. Lt. Colonel Randall Haws, U.S. Army, has given me the names of 48 men and women who were sent back to Iraq for their second and third tours. They have the least family support. We have started the Christmas Care Packages to the soldiers in September 2009. Many kind people from our community have donated items to the soldiers.
Our special thank you to the following originations for their support to make this possible: VFW Post 10227 in Prescott Valley, Monday Club in Prescott, Fountain of Life Church in Prescott, Club Demo Service and employees in Prescott #466, Marine Corp. League in Prescott, Central AZ Young Marines in Chino Valley, Prescott Valley Police Department, Silver & Fit Club with Freedom Fitness Gym in Prescott, Compass Bank in Prescott Valley, M & I Bank in Prescott Valley, American Legion Post 108 in Prescott Valley, American Gold Star Mother Yavapai County Chapter, Costco in Prescott, Sam's Club in Prescott Valley, Safeway in Prescott, Albertsons in Prescott Valley, Wal-Mart in Prescott, Hampton Inn and Suites in Prescott Valley, Chamber of Commerce in Prescott Valley, Parkview Middle School in Prescott Valley.
Now with our community's help we are able to send more than 48 packages to our soldiers' in Iraq. We thank you very much for our community support and kindness.
