Letter: Reader appreciates community news

EDITOR:

Sometimes I hear people complain about our local paper not printing more national and international stories.

Well, that is just fine with me. The morning of May 22, I enjoyed three articles on the front page of the Courier. The story about PHS seniors giving hugs to their former kindergarten teacher, the mom who was going to walk for her lost son, and the "Big Night" for the BMHS graduates.

To me this was much better to read than about some atrocity that happened on the other side of the world. The "other" news is important but I can get that from the TV, Internet and a weekly news magazine.

It is a joy that our "home town" paper carries hometown news.
