She attended the University of Washington to study art and became a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority in 1927. She married Halbert S. She had eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
For many years she was a member of the Seattle Weavers Guild and a cooperative member of an art gallery in Edmonds, Wash. Pastel painting was her favorite medium and she accomplished and sold many paintings.
