At its meeting this week, the Dewey-Humboldt Town Council will discuss the town's fiscal year 2010 proposed budget and consider a councilman's request to hire a water attorney.
Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. inside town hall, 2735 S. Highway 69, council will delve into the Groundwater Resource Advisory Committee's concerns about the possible ramifications to D-H's water supply if the Town of Prescott Valley removes its wastewater, which flows into the Agua Fria River.
Councilman Len Marinaccio will weigh in on this issue as well as give an update about the Environmental Issues Advisory Committee's recent activities.
In other business, the council will:
Conduct a public hearing about a proposed zoning code amendment regarding prohibiting landfills in town.
Discuss a proposal to approve the International Energy Conservation code, with some amendments.
Discuss a revised open space/trails map for the proposed 2009 General Plan.
Likely go into executive session to discuss legal advice from the town attorney about specific rights of way within the town.
Canvass the results from this past Tuesday's primary election of the town council.
Hear a report from Councilwoman Nancy Wright about the Northern Arizona Council of Governments' request for support of the Arizona Department of Transportation's spending allocations.
