Doris and Richard Cellarius of Prescott recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception hosted by their daughters, Barbara and Karen, in Portland, Ore. They were married June 10, 1959, in Zion Lutheran Church in Portland. They retired to Prescott 10 years ago, moving into the house on Park Avenue purchased by Doris' parents in 1965.
Richard has had a 40-year career of college and university teaching and still participates in Prescott College's Master of Arts program. Doris has been a full-time volunteer environmental activist, including serving on advisory committees for the state of Washington, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
