YMCA Activities: Week of July 8
Check out all of the fun activities going on at the Prescott YMCA at www.prescottymca.org.
The YMCA Picnic at the Park is from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11. Bring your own lunch, blankets and bathing suit and make some new friends at the YCMA Lindquist Family Park. The YMCA will host games, music and recreational swim.
Summer dodgeball returns to the YMCA at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 11. Bring your own team of 6 to 8 players or we will find a team for you. Games will be double elimination and tournament style to determine winners in each age category.
It's time to register your child in the after-school child care program. The program is state-licensed and DES-approved for school-aged children through the fifth grade and is a safe, stimulating and fun program for your child while you are at work.
YMCA gymnastics is a year-round program for beginning tumblers through competitive gymnasts. The tumble tot classes are designed for children as young as 18 months. A teen tumbling class and classes for adults are also available.
Join the hip-hop dance lessons at 7:15 p.m. each Thursday. This class offers dancers the hottest moves in a fun and upbeat atmosphere. Sign up for one class or take the series of four classes. The next session starts Thursday, July 9, at 7:15 pm.
Group swim lessons are offered for children as young as 3. Sessions are continuing throughout the summer. There are morning and evening classes available, as well as private and semi-private lessons.
Come and join Patrick at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, July 12, for a full 90-minute spin session. This challenging class is for hardcore spinners. Show up before the beginning class time as there are limited numbers of bikes.
Join the adventure of the Prescott YMCA SCUBA development program. Classes cover the basic skills from the PADI open water diver certification through the level of dive master. The YMCA's diving facilities accommodate all skill levels and all equipment needs. A variety of classes is offered weekly.
