Obituary: Mary "Annie" Pilcher

Mary "Annie" Pilcher, age 95, passed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Jan. 27, 2009, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. She was born July 5, 1913, in Thatcher, Ariz., to Joseph Vernon Damron and Armelda (Ferguson) Damron. Annie was the middle child of nine and was raised in Safford/Thatcher, Ariz. Annie married Casey Pilcher in 1943 and they shared many wonderful years together and raised three children in San Diego, Calif. She will be loved and missed by her family and all the many friends she made over the years.

Annie is survived by her children Jesse "Clark" and Terry Ann Pilcher of Prescott Valley, Ariz., and Nancy White of Las Vegas, Nev. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, and her sister Hester Brimhall of Winslow, Ariz. Annie was preceded in death by her husband Casey in 1966 and her son Vernon in 2005.

A memorial service was given for Annie at Prescott Valley Samaritan Center on Thursday, Jan. 28, 2009. Another memorial service to honor Annie will be in San Diego, Calif., at the El Camino Mortuary, where she will be put to rest alongside the love of her life, Casey.

Many thanks to Prescott Valley Samaritan Center for the love and kindness that has been given to Annie in the past three years by the staff and residents. Thank you also to the brothers and sisters from the LDS church who spent time with Annie and continued to keep the church a part of her life here in Prescott Valley. We know she blessed your lives just as you blessed hers.
