Pantalione up for national coaching award
Yavapai College soccer head coach Mike Pantalione is a finalist for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America/Adidas National Coach of the Year award.
The awards banquet will take place at the annual NSCAA Convention in St. Louis, Mo., Friday evening.
Pantalione is already a four-time NSCAA National Coach of the Year, the most among junior college coaches all-time. He is a 14-time NSCAA West Region Coach of the Year along with seven NJCAA National Coach of the Year honors. His 2008 team captured the school's seventh national soccer title with a 26-0-0 record.
The Roughriders are 443-29-13 in his 20-year career.
