Police seek help in cold cases

Yavapai Silent Witness is offering a cash reward for information leading to the solving of two cold cases of the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.

On Sept. 7, 1987, motorists found the body of Kristina Sue Reyes in a small ravine at the Sunset Point rest area in southern Yavapai County. Her body was badly decomposed, but detectives determined she died from strangulation.

On Jan. 10, 1988, the body of William Wear was found in his Bridgeport home near Cottonwood. Wear was a paraplegic and confined to a wheelchair. He died of gunshot wounds. Whoever shot him then robbed him, police said.

If you have any information on either of these cases, contact Silent Witness at 800-932-3232.
