Karen Sims, 60; of Prescott Valley, Ariz. passed away in her sleep as she entered the loving arms of her Savior, in Hemet, Calif. on Jan. 26, 2009. Karen was born Dec. 25, 1948 to Art Carlson and Beverly Wolff Reames in Evanston, Ill.

Karen graduated from high school in 1966. Later on moved to Oregon where she married Dan Sims on March 24, 1972. Karen retired from GTE after 28 plus years working in Customer Service.

Dan and Karen moved to Arizona in 1999, Karen worked at Prescott Valley Pet Clinic helping take care of animals which she loved. At Prescott Valley Pet Clinic Karen was like a Mom-Grandma to all the girls there and was a Team Mate. Karen's loves was horses, dogs and working in the yard but most of all was her family.

Karen was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and a friend with all she knew. Karen is survived by mother Beverly Reames of Hemet, Calif.; husband Dan Sims of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; sons, Scott Sims of Sun River, Ore. and Todd Sims of Hillsboro, Ore.; daughter-in-law Marsha Sims of Sun River, Ore.; grandchildren, Samantha Jo Sims, Austin Sims and Karley Ann Sims of Hillsboro, Ore.; and step-granddaughter Shannon Webb of Beaverton, Ore.

She was proud of her dogs Sage, Emmy and Toby.

The Sims Family would like to send a special Thank you to the girls at Prescott Valley Pet Clinic, Miller-Jones Mortuary & Crematory of Hemet, Calif., Doreen Stone and Debbie Eddings of California.

There is no service planned as of now, but there will be a memorial spreading of her ashes on a later date. If there were three words to sum up Karen's life it would be bright, caring, helpful. She will be missed by all!
