D-H council candidate forum is Monday night at town library

The Dewey-Humboldt Community Organization will play host to the first of two D-H town council candidate forums this week in advance of March's primary election.

Monday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the lower level of the D-H Town Library, 2735 S. Corral St., candidates for mayor and council will discuss their stances on the issues and answer questions.

Members of the public are welcome to chat with and listen to the candidates speak.

Resident Bob Greene and current councilman Len Marinaccio are running for the mayor's chair, which current Mayor Earl Goodwin will vacate in June.

Three council seats are also up for grabs. Like Goodwin, Vice Mayor Warren Rushton will not run again. But incumbent council members Denise Rogers and Nancy Wright will seek re-election.

Planning and Zoning commissioners Bob Bowman, Lydia Chapman, Mike Generalli and Terry Nolan, as well as resident Walt Statler, are also vying for a seat on the council.
