For author Kate Robinson, "the creative process is as essential as taking my next breath. I write to understand - to make sense of my experiences, and to explore life's 'mandala' through the perspectives of reality and imagination." Robinson is a prolific writer of short fiction, creative nonfiction and poetry whose works have been published in a variety of venues. Her most recent book, "Lewis and Clark: Exploring the American West," is a middle-school book that examines the explorers' expedition, their early lives, their journey to the Pacific, the Corps of Discovery's impact on American Indians and the Lewis and Clark legacy in American history. Robinson is a Chino Valley resident studying creative writing at the University of Wales, Aberyswyth. She is also the author of "The National Mall," a volume about the history of Washington, D.C. "Lewis and Clark: Exploring the American West" is available through Enslow Publishers. More information about Robinson is on her website, katerwriter.tripod.com.
