Humboldt Legion Auxiliary helps with soldiers' care packages
When member Minnie Moeck of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 78 located in Humboldt, saw the article "Community organizations, businesses provide care packages for soldiers," in the Tribune, she called organizer Jasmine Crowl and told her the post would like to help with the care packages for soldiers.
The Legion presented a check to Crowl to help pay for the postage and international calling cards in the packages. Crowl and her husband were able to mail a total of 84 large flat rate boxes to the soldiers in the 4-227 Battalion stationed in Iraq.
Crowl thanked the Auxiliary and others who helped make the holidays better for soldiers overseas.
