The Fall Festival is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, at Lindquist Family Park. There will be music and food, as well as demonstrations and activities highlighting the YMCA's various programs.

Join the Lose to Gain Challenge and challenge yourself to lose weight, exercise more or reduce your body fat percentage. For every pound that you lose, every five hours exercised or every percent of body fat lost, you will donate one non-perishable food item here at the YMCA. All donations will then be given to the Yavapai Food Bank. The challenge starts Sept. 20.

Pilates for Multiple Sclerosis is the ideal exercise class suffers of MS. Most of the exercises are done lying down or seated. These low-impact movements are taught in a gentle and graceful manner, emphasizing proper breathing. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1:30 p.m.

A new Begin to Spin class is added to the spin class schedule. This class will teach you all that you need to know about this fun and low-impact workout. Class starts at 8:45 a.m. on Saturdays.

The next swimming lesson begins Sept 15. Classes are Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 5:15 or 6 p.m. Classes fill up quickly, so sign up soon.

The YMCA offers Youth Fit Orientation to kids 12 to 14 years old. This class will teach your child proper fitness center etiquette, as well as how to use different machines and weights. The next Youth Fit Orientations are 1 p.m. Aug. 22 and 29.

YMCA gymnastics is a year-round program for beginning tumblers through competitive gymnasts. The tumble tot classes are designed for children as young as 18 months. A teen tumbling class and classes for adults are also available.

A water aerobics class is offered in the morning and evening. Target specific body areas to exercise or combine several movements into a complete head-to-toe activity.
