It's time to register your child in the after school childcare program. The after school program is state-licensed and DES approved for school aged children through the fifth grade and is a safe, stimulating and fun program for your child while you are at work.
Adult kickball is coming to the YMCA, Thursday, Aug. 6. Register as a team or on your own. Anyone 18 or older may participate. There will be no scheduled.
The YMCA offers Youth Fit Orientation to all kids, 12 to 14 years old. This class will teach your child proper fitness center etiquette, as well as how to use different machines and weights. The next Youth Fit Orientation is 1 p.m. Aug. 22 and 29.
Mindful Movement class meets 11 a.m. Fridays and incorporates movements from Tai Chi, Qi Gong, yoga, breath work and stretching. Most of the work is done standing with a warm-up and cool-down using a chair.
The fall after school YMCA Swim Team helps give your child the opportunity to gain self-confidence, learn about teamwork and competition and have fun all at the same time. Swimmers must be at least 5 years old and be able to swim the length of the pool using a crawl stroke.
Join the adventure of the Prescott YMCA SCUBA development program. Classes cover the basic skills from the PADI Open Water Diver Certification through the level of Dive Master. The YMCA's diving facilities accommodate all skill levels, all equipment needs and offers a variety of classes. Sign up for August classes now.
YMCA gymnastics is a year-round program for beginning tumblers through competitive gymnasts. The tumble tot classes are designed for children as young as 18 months. A teen tumbling class and classes for adults are also available.
