As part of Prescott Alternative Transportation's (PAT) celebration of Bike Month 2009, a "Bike Lane Stencil Day" will begin at noon Sunday, April 26, at the PAT office, 309 E Gurley St. All ages are welcome to join PAT staff and board members in helping the City of Prescott's Public Works Department in repainting bike lane symbols in existing bike lanes in town.
The city is providing the paint and stencils; city engineer Doug Kraemer will provide instruction and supplies to participants and teams will then go to various locations in town to paint stencils. Refreshments will be available.
More information about Bike Month, including a complete list of events, is available at www.PrescottBikePed.org, or by calling 708-0911.
