Sheriff's detectives charge BCC man with assault on 5-year-old
Yavapai County Sheriff's Deputies arrested a Black Canyon City man last Thursday on charges he sexually assaulted a 5-year-old child.
A Sheriff's Office news release stated that on the afternoon of April 2, 2009, deputies responded to the Squaw Valley Trailer Park to a report that a 5-year-old child had been the victim of a sexual assault.
During the initial interview the child told deputies that one of the neighbors in the trailer park known only as "Bob" had sexually assaulted the child, the release said.
Detectives from the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division responded to Black Canyon City and took over the investigation. Based on information the detectives gathered, they obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 33000 block of Ta Do Hoya Trail in Black Canyon City.
At the residence, detectives contacted 75-year-old Harry Robert Shillingburg. Based on detective's investigation and interview with Shillingburg, the release said, deputies arrested him and booked him into the YCSO Jail at Camp Verde on charges of two counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of Sexual Conduct with a Minor and two counts of Child Molestation.
