Letter: Mother thanks people for help in time of grief

EDITOR:

We need to take time from our grieving to send our deepest thanks to the community of Prescott and surrounding areas.

The loss of our precious angel, Sarah Marie, to complications of childbirth has been so difficult for all of us. We are truly amazed by the outpouring of help, support and generosity in our time of need.

People suffer tragedies every day, but not everyone is so fortunate to live in a community with so much heart and soul. Sarah lived in Prescott 10 years and we watched the city grow so much in that time. I thought, "There goes the small town we all love so much." But Prescott is still that small town where neighbors take care of each other and no one is too big or too busy to lend a helping hand.

We have too many to thank; it would be impossible to list every name. We thank those who donated at the car wash, put money in the jars, made a deposit, and those who offered to babysit. Mostly we want to thank you for the prayers that brought us closer in this time of great tragedy and suffering.

Special thanks to Kidzaam Dental, Cornerstone Pediatrics, Wilson Electric, Home Depot, Lowe's, Better Built, and Conn Exterminating; Hampton Funeral Home for making the transition bearable; Pastor Wayne Ballard for his words of encouragement; and all the friends who helped so much.

If I left anyone out, please forgive me. We could not have made it through this without all your help. God bless you all.

Sarah was such an amazing and loving young woman, and she would want us to pay it forward, so we may be able to help someone else in need. We are here for this community in any way we can help.
