Yavapai County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested Phoenix resident Joey Morales, 51, Friday on charges of aggravated assault, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, said Dwight D'Evelyn, YCSO spokesman.
D'Evelyn said in a press release that Morales stabbed a friend during an ongoing argument as they were driving on Interstate 17 north of Cordes Junction and their car broke down.
Morales denied stabbing his friend, D'Evelyn said. But during a search of Morales' Ford Explorer, deputies found a bloody knife.
The two men were arguing over the proper way to panhandle and spend the proceeds, D'Evelyn said.
Deputies booked Morales into the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde.
