Letter: Views are different, not one right, one wrong

Charlie, my friend, the voters have spoken!

As for your views, and cartoons verging on racism, I could show you many, but I recycle all my papers, for the love of my planet.  My friends, distant relatives from across this great land and total stranger contacted me after my letter appeared and congratulated me on speaking out about your views and cartoons.  (Many commented to the newspaper on-line)

No, I do not want the whole world to be just like me, like us. That apparently is your view, not mine.  Views are different and that is just the point.  Different, is DIFFERENT, not one being right and one being wrong, but opposing views.  Your frame of mind must have read that into what I wrote before, and your response proved it to every reader today.  Thank you for proving what I have said.  It is deeply appreciated.  You do not seem to embrace diversity, opposing views, and that, my friend, in my humble opinion, does not belong in the paper.

Your candidate was 4th from the bottom of his graduating class.  Your candidate had extra marital affairs.  Your candidate proved to America he could not make solid choices by his selection of a running mate, without any federal government experience. Your candidate tried to stir up racial hate in his negative campaign.

Your candidate wanted to extend a war, based on lies and he appears to have no concern for our environment or our future as a nation (having voted against energy policies and not believing that global warming is even an issue to be addressed).  He followed a person that has been proven as a failed president.  I hope you can understand the differences, but I doubt that your views, which are shared with many, will allow you to do that.  I pray for you and others.  I pray for clear thinking.

We will now see a new America emerge.  One we can be proud of, once again.

The "dictatorship" ends 01.20.09.  You can chose to either align your views with the majority, or move out of the way.  The people have spoken. Democracy has spoken. A new day has dawned. God bless you and the entire world, no exceptions.

Peace and blessings,

Mr. W. C. Durnil
