PRESCOTT

Youth Turkey Bowl Fest

Children 6 to 11 years old, join the Prescott Parks and Recreation Department in celebrating Thanksgiving at this event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14. Participate in turkey arts and crafts and play turkey games, including turkey bowling. There is also a turkey feast with desert. Cost for the event at the Grace Sparkes Activity Center, 824 E. Gurley, is $10. Parents can leave their children for a night out. Pre-registration is required by 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12. Call 777-1122.

Scrapbook Day

Do you keep all you pictures and mementos in a box? Do you want to learn how to scrapbook these memories? Do you need some new ideas? Come to Scrapbook Day, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at Grace Sparkes Community Center, 824 E. Gurley. Cost is $10 and includes a techniques handout and scrapbook supplies giveaways. Yoga with Becky Lind

Develop strength and flexibility at these yoga classes with instructor Becky Lind. Yoga also reduces stress and helps you achieve peace of mind. All levels are welcome. Create a Tree Program

The Prescott Valley Arts and Culture Commission is sponsoring the seventh annual Winter Holiday Tree Display at the Civic Center. Participants can create a winter holiday tree to decorate the inside of the Civic Center in December and at the same time publicize an organization, school, classroom or business, if desired. The commission encourages trees of many shapes, sizes and themes for the display, open for public viewing from Dec. 5 through Dec. 29. The tree does not have to be green or have traditional decorations. The program is a showcase of community artistic talent complementing the annual outside lighting display at the Civic Center. Sample of French

Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation is offering French classes for students age 16 and older. French native Nadia Clark will instruct the five-class session 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Nov. 13, 20, Dec. 4, 11, and 18, in room D206 at Bradshaw Mountain High School west campus. French II (advanced) is offered the same dates from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. the same dates. Cost is $30. Call 759-3090 for more information.

Wagsgiving Day

Bring your dog to Prescott Valley Bark Park, 8600 E. Nace Lane, Saturday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a dog extravaganza sponsored by Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation. Enter your dog in four competitions: Best Pet Costume, Ugliest Dog, Best Trick, and Master & Dog Look-a-Like. Other activities include dog parades and K-9 competition. The first 25 dogs to register will receive a free doggie bag filled with goodies (one dog per family). Recreation Volleyball League

Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation is offering an adult volleyball league for men, women and coed teams with an eight-game guarantee. A mandatory meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 16, from 6 to 7 p.m. in room 331 of the Civic Center. Cost per team due at registration is $100. All games are scheduled at Glassford Hill Middle School in Prescott Valley. Late registrations will be accepted at the Parks and Recreation office, fourth floor of the Civic Center through Dec. 19 until 4 p.m. Cost for late registration is $120. CHINO VALLEY

Teenami

Chino Valley recreation will hold two teen nights during November and December. Girls can ask guys to the Sadie Hawkins Dance, or come by and dance with everyone, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at the Senior Center, 1021 W. Butterfield Rd. Cost is $3. Food and drinks provided. Dress in your Hawaiian best for the New Year's Eve Luau Bash on Wednesday, Dec. 31. 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The night includes activities, music and food. Cost is $5. Call 636-9114 for more information.

Poker Nights

Pilates

This fitness class for strengthening and flexibility is great for all ages. Classes are 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Activity Center, 1527 N. Rd. 1 E. Cost is $2 per class. Register by calling 636-0162.

Painting, Scrapbooking, etc.

Chino Valley Parks and Recreation offers weekly classes at the Senior Center, 1021 W. Butterfield Rd. Painting is 1 to 3 p.m. every Thursday. Cost is $2. Scrapbooking is 1 to 3 p.m on the second Tuesday every month. Cost is $5. Crochet and knitting is 1 to 3 p.m. on the first Tuesday of the month. No cost. Gourd decorating is 1 to 3 p.m. on the third Tuesday each month. No or minimal cost. Game night features poker, scrabble and other board games, 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays at the Recreation Activity Center. Call 636-0162 for more information.
