Obituary: Helen Ruth Olson
Helen Ruth Olson, 72, passed away on April 3, 2008, in Phoenix, Ariz.
Helen Ruth Davis was born March 21, 1936, in Loma Linda, Calif. Helen grew up in Southern California and graduated from San Bernardino High School in 1954. She worked at Norton Air Force Base, then with Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, Calif., as a medical secretary. She retired after her 25-year career in 1986.
On Sept. 29, 1962, "Ruthie" married Calvin Olson, "Ole," and set up residence in San Bernardino, Calif., and later in the foothills of Devore. The couple loved bowling and were league members for many years. In 1986, the family moved to Chino Valley, Ariz., and to Prescott in 1993. Mr. and Mrs. Olson moved to Phoenix in 2007 to be closer to family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband of 45 years. She is survived by two sons, Gary Olson of Phoenix, Ariz., and David Olson of Gilbert, Ariz.; and eight grandchildren.
