Robert Kuzyk, former executive chef of the Oro Valley County Club in Tucson, Ariz., will continue as senior executive chef of the member-owned Hassayampa Golf Club in Prescott.
Kuzyk's long career in food and beverage management and culinary arts showcases a multitude of experience as house manager, food and Beverage director and executive chef history for more than 10 years in Arizona and Kansas. His accreditations include serving on Chapters of American Culinary Foundations, as well as awards in culinary competitions throughout Arizona.
Among the plans for revival of operations at the Hassayampa Golf Club, Kuzyk will feature specials including all natural slow-roasted prime rib Wednesdays, expanded breakfast buffet on Sundays, and other special menu offerings throughout the year to include wine dinners and tastings, themed Thursday Night dinners, fresh seafood on weekends, and more.
Michigan native Mike McGonigal will continue as the new head golf professional for the member-owned Hassayampa Golf Club.
McGonigal comes most recently from Troon Country Club in Scottsdale, and has been a Class "A" member of the PGA of America since May 2004.
He obtained his degree in professional golf management and marketing from the Professional Golfers Career College in Temecula, Calif.
McGonigal's career accomplishments include receiving the Meadowbrook Country Club's Sportsman Scholarship Award and assisting aspiring professionals in acquiring employment at premier clubs (i.e. Congressional Country Club). He also has worked with many highly respected golf professionals at prestigious facilities, including 2006 National Teacher of the Year, Bill Forrest.
Marty Wells will continue as the new general manager of the member-owned Hassayampa Golf Club. Wells brings 21 years of golf club experience to Hassayampa, having most recently served as the general manager at the premier Fazio Butterfield Trail Golf Club in El Paso, Texas. His previous experience includes: General manager at Black Mountain Golf and Country Club, Las Vegas; Sandpiper Golf Club, Santa Barbara, Calif.; Tucson Country Club, Tucson; The Dominion Country Club, San Antonio, Texas, (to include 3 PGA tour events); El Conquistador Resort, Tucson, Ariz.
