Frances Heiman passed away on March 22, 2008, at 95 years of age. She was born June 3, 1912, in New York City, N.Y., the second youngest of 10 children. Fran was married in 1933, for 44 years, to the love of her life following a short career as a Broadway dancer in the Third Little Show, Take a Chance, George White's Scandals, Earl Carroll Vanities and the Ziegfeld Follies. She worked with such greats as Eleanor Powell, Jack Whiting, Ethel Merman and W.C. Fields. Fran lived a wonderful and graceful life in New York, California and Arizona, most recently in Prescott Valley at the Acts of Kindness care home to whom the family is most grateful.
Fran is survived by three children, Stephen Heiman and his wife Diane, Robert Heiman, and Ellen Shaw and husband Bill; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was a kind, loving and gracious woman and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
The family plans to hold a celebration of her life on her birthday.
