Prescott Frontier Days schedule Friday-Sunday

All events are at the Prescott Rodeo Grounds, unless noted otherwise.

• Friday, July 4:

7 a.m. - 10K Race and 2-Mile Fun Run; registration starts at 6 a.m.

8:30 a.m. - Kiwanis Kiddie Parade (on Cortez and Goodwin streets)

9 a.m. - Prescott Rodeo Days Fine Arts & Crafts Show (Courthouse Plaza)

9:30 a.m. - Cowboy Church

10 a.m. - 5 p.m. - Fourth of July at Sharlot Hall Museum - Join a historical cast of characters on the grounds of the museum. Includes blacksmith demonstrations, lawn games, cakewalk, lemonade, root beer and old-fashioned candy (at Sharlot Hall Museum, 415 W. Gurley St. - two blocks west of the plaza)

Noon to 8:45 p.m. - City of Prescott sponsors family fun at Pioneer Park off Commerce Drive, including carnival games, live music, craft tent, food and free fireworks show. No dogs or barbecues. For free shuttle from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, take Haas exit off Willow Creek Road.

1:30 p.m. - Rodeo at rodeo grounds along Gail Gardner Way.

2 p.m. - Derek Sanders Band (courthouse plaza)

6:30 p.m. - Arizona Revue featuring dancing, music and comedy at Elks Opera House, 117 E. Gurley St.

7:30 p.m. - Sleep America Rodeo Night

9 p.m. - Fireworks display at Pioneer Park.

8 p.m. - Rodeo Dance at parking lot at corner of Montezuma and Sheldon, must be 21 to enter.

• Saturday, July 5:

7:30 a.m. to noon - Prescott Farmers Market at Yavapai College parking lot, 1100 E. Sheldon St.

9 a.m. - Prescott Rodeo Days Fine Arts & Crafts Show (courthouse plaza)

9 a.m. - Horseshoe tournament at Watson Lake Park off Highway 89 at Willow Lake Road.

9 a.m. - Prescott Frontier Days Parade (Courthouse Plaza). Famed pro-rodeo stock contractor Harry Vold and his wife, Karen, will serve as grand marshals.

After the parade - Whiskey Row Boot Races (downtown)

Noon to 10 p.m. - Whiskey Row Street Dance featuring live music, dancing and adult beverages.

1:30 p.m. - Rodeo at rodeo grounds along Gail Gardner Way.

6 p.m. - City of Prescott free "Movies in the Park" features "Independence Day" at Watson Lake Park off Highway 89 at Willow Lake Road.

6:30 p.m. - Arizona Revue featuring dancing, music and comedy at Elks Opera House, 117 E. Gurley St.

7:30 p.m. - Coors/Canyon Distributing Rodeo Night

8 p.m. - Rodeo Dance at parking lot at corner of Montezuma and Sheldon, must be 21 to enter.

• Sunday, July 6:

9 a.m. - Prescott Rodeo Days Fine Arts & Crafts Show (Courthouse Plaza)

8:30 a.m. - Firemen Hose Cart Races (downtown) for 2-3 hours.

2 p.m. - The Geritol Hipsters, concert (Courthouse Plaza)
