Kathleen Jackson "An Irish Rose" died Jan. 26 2008, in Kansas City, Mo. She was born Oct. 11, 1925, in Chicago, Ill; the daughter of Thomas and Dorothy (Albrecht) McCaffrey.

Kathleen was raised in Prescott, where she graduated from St. Joseph's Academy. She attended Mount Saint Mary College in LA and graduated as a cadet Nurse from Mercy College, San Diego, where she met her soul mate, Paul Richard Jackson. They were married Oct. 25, 1947, in Prescott.

Kathleen and Paul raised their family of seven in Southfield, Mich. They hosted many foreign students and involved their many friends and parish families in their endeavors. They retired back to Prescott, in 1984. Kathleen blessed many by her fellowship, generosity and service to others. She served as a Eucharistic Minister, President of Claret Club and a very supportive deacon's wife, both here at Sacred Heart and St. Michael's in Michigan. Paul preceded her in death May 25, 1989.

Kathleen never met a stranger. She was warm and welcoming to all. She volunteered regularly with the St. Vincent De Paul Society; was a mediator for the Yavapai Court system, community FISH aid programs of Detroit by transporting the less fortunate for medical needs and groceries.

Kathleen is survived by her children, Joe (Mary) of Lavallette, N.J., Ann (Richard) Harrod of Harlingen, Texas; brother Augustine (Jim) of Piffard, N.J., Mary (Larry) LeFebrve of Kansas City, Mo., Paul (Shari) of Canton, Mich., Marge Jackson of Prescott, Ariz., and Tom (Linda) of Phoenix, Ariz., all who loved and will miss her very much; 18 grandchildren and six and a half great-grandchildren, the joy of her life, will remember her gentle spirit; her sister, Jane (Tom) Robbins of Prescott; and brother; Bob (Ann) Phillips of Flagstaff Ariz.; who will smile at the memories they will share.

Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton with visitation two hours prior.

Celebration of Kathleen's Life Mass will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2008, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fluery, Prescott, Ariz.

Private rites will be at Mountain View Cemetery.
