Prescott Chamber Players perform winter concert

The Prescott Chamber Players Society presents it's annual Winter Public Concert 2 p.m., Sunday, at the United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St.

The Chamber Players are an amateur group of local classical musicians from all walks of life who share a

common interest in performing works of the classical masters involving a small number of instruments.

The chamber will present pieces for strings, winds, brass and organ.

Composers on the program include George Frederic

Handel, Sonata #5 in G

major for flute, violin, cello, and harpsichord; Jaques

Ibert, piece for flute and piano; J.S. Bach, "My Spirit Be Joyful" for two trumpets and organ; L. Boccherini, Sonata for two cellos; W.A. Mozart, wind quartet in G minor; P. Schoenfiedid, Café Music for piano trio; A. Ponchielli, clarinet trio; and P Bottesini, sextet for winds and strings.

Admission is free.

The audience is welcome to refreshments at the church following the performance.
