Coalition invites public to educational drug presentation
MATForce, the Yavapai County Substance Abuse Coalition, invites the public to attend an Educational Presentation on "Drugs, Alcohol and Addiction: How far does it reach?"The presentation will be on Jan. 24, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the MATForce monthly coalition meeting at the Yavapai County Administrative Services Building Board of Supervisors' Hearing Room, 1015 Fair Street, in Prescott.
Bob Farster Jr., a recovering Cocaine Addict and Alcoholic, will present his personal story of tragedy and triumph. In addition, Bob will show clips of films he has produced with personal testimonies of a heroine addict and a homeless alcoholic. Bob has been clean and sober since May 1997 and is committed to sharing his and other stories from addicts with the goal of helping others to achieve healthy living.
County Attorney Sheila Polk, who has worked with Mr. Farster in the MATForce coalition, stated, "Bob is devoted to making sure that others don't make the mistakes and choices he made."
