Jeremy Gordon Glau, born on Dec. 2, 1978, to Gordon and Patricia Glau in Prescott, Ariz., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008.

Jeremy attended Sacred Heart School, Prescott Mile High Middle School and graduated from Prescott High School in 1997. In 1998, he participated in National Outdoor Leadership School courses where he backpacked and kayaked through Alaska. He then attended Prince William Sound Community College in Valdez, Alaska, for a year.

In 2004, he enrolled in Scottsdale Culinary Institute to pursue his dream of becoming a chef. He later refined his culinary skills at the Rose Restaurant in Prescott.

Jeremy loved the outdoors and spent many happy times hunting and fishing with his dad and brother. His wanderlust spirit took him on many travels to such places as Alaska, Montana, Washington, California and Wyoming.

Jeremy's family will always have happy memories of camping on the Black River, where Jeremy learned to become an expert fly fisherman from his dad and grandmother. More recently, Jeremy discovered his passion for cooking. Jeremy spent many hours practicing his culinary skills on his family. Jeremy's favorite pastime was baking and decorating cookies with his Little Chef, Aspyn.

Jeremy is survived by his parents, Gordon and Pattie Glau; his sister, Shannon; brother Garrett; his aunts and uncles, Tom and Tammy Kelly, Bob and Linda Michael, Don and Katy Standhardt, Greg and Courtney Glau, and Peter and Gretchen Korzaan; his aunts Cathee, Judy, Kay and Sandy; his beloved cousins Carrie, Ty, Erin, Mick, Tad, Taytum, Kelly, Nicholas, Rob, Tracey, Kohl, Troy, Donnie, Linda Lee, Tommy, Mary Lou, Cheryl, David and Donna; his large extended family of great-aunts, -uncles and second cousins; and he was also loved by many friends.

Jeremy will always be fondly remembered as "Uncle Chump" to his niece, Aspyn Glau, and loved by his dog, Sierra.

Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Gertrude Glau and Thomas and Mary Kelly, and his cousin Tierre.

Visitation service is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, followed by a Rosary at 7 p.m., led by Pete Balland, at Arizona Runner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez. A Funeral Mass officiated by Father Fred LeClaire, C.M.F. will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, at Sacred Heart Church, 150 Fleury, in Prescott, Ariz. The celebration of Jeremy's life will continue with an Irish Wake at the home of Tom and Tammy Kelly in Prescott.
