Randy Potts, 45, of Prescott died in a two-vehicle collision on Willow Lake Road at around 3:45 p.m. Feb. 9.
He died of blunt force trauma to his head and torso, according to the Feb. 15 coroner's report. Potts was not wearing a helmet.
Potts was traveling west on Willow Lake Road from Highway 89 when he lost control of his motorcycle and crossed in front of an eastbound Chevy pick-up truck, Prescott Police Lt. Ken Morley said.
Prescott Fire Department treated Potts at the scene and an ambulance took him to Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
"The toxicology report is not back, but we have no reason to believe that he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs," Morley said. "The established speed on that road is 35 mph and he was not speeding. We are not sure why he lost control."
