English Country Dance
Join in this recreational activity that welcomes all levels, including beginners, in learning traditional dances from England. Dress is casual and comfortable. Smooth-soled shoes are recommended. Yoga with Becky Lind
Becky Lind is a certified yoga instructor and certified personal trainer. She teaches this class for developing strength, flexibility and peace of mind. Adult Tap Class
Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation is offering this class at Granville Elementary. Jessica Bishop will teach traditional tap steps and combinations in a fun and friendly atmosphere. Classes are 6 to 7 p.m. on Mondays in September in the school gymnasium. The class allows a maximum of 20 students ages 16 and older. Cost for the monthly session is $40. Fall Tennis Camp
Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation is offering a tennis camp at Bradshaw Mountain High School west campus, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 6 - 10, for kids ages 6 to 17. Wilderness Survival Skill/Orienteering Workshop
Prescott Valley Parks & Recreation is offering a free workshop designed to help participants gain map- and compass-reading skills. Knowing where you are or how to find your location will mean that never again will you pack fear into your backpack. The workshop - which includes a high-tech GPS study presentation and instruction on how to find water and identify edible plants - is 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 28, in Civic Center room 331. Gold Fever Daze
Prescott Valley Parks and Recreation invites the public to celebrate Gold Fever Daze at Fain Park, 2200 N. 5th St. in Prescott Valley, Saturday, Oct. 11. Activities include Western performances by the Prescott Regulators and their Shady Ladies, gold panning, fishing, Civil War battles, food, arts and crafts, and more, beginning with a free fishing clinic for kids at 8 a.m. and continuing through 5 p.m. A bluegrass festival begins at 1 p.m.
Territorial Days Slow Pitch Softball Tournament
Games are Saturday, Aug. 23, and Sunday, Aug. 24, at Community Center Ball Fields. Co-ed C&D Leagues and Men's C & D Leagues each allow a maximum of eight teams. Territorial Days Festivities
Events for Saturday, Aug. 30, include a 10K and two-mile race to benefit the Chino Valley Cross Country Team, and a Lion's Club Pancake Breakfast at the Senior Center. The Territorial Days Parade starts at 9 a.m.
Fall Softball League
