Robert L. Kelly passed away on July 30, 2008, at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Ariz. He was 69 years old.
Robert was born Aug. 2, 1938, in Akron, Ohio, to Henry D. Kelly and Beatrice A. (Laymon) Kelly.
Robert worked for 40 years as a supervisor in the auto industry in many different fields. He was a resident of Arizona for 48 years and of Yavapai County since 2005. Robert lived previously in Utah.
He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and was a Naval Veteran who was extremely proud to have served his country. Robert enjoyed being outdoors, no matter what the activity and NASCAR racing. Spending time with his family and grandchildren is what meant the most to Robert. He shared a special bond with his children that they will cherish forever. He will be greatly missed.
Robert L. Kelly is survived by sons, Larry G (Rosemary) Kelly of Glendale, Ariz., Sean (Sandy) Kelly of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter Theresa (Kevin) Hartman of Glendale, Ariz.; brothers, George H. (Joyce) Kelly of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Howard (Pat) Kelly of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; sister Helen Low of Prescott Valley, Ariz.; grandchildren, Larry, Robert, Christina, Justin, Riley, Gabriel, Sean, Ryan and Kevin Jr. Robert is preceded in death by younger brother Dennis Kelly.
