Letter: Golf course can take only so much damage
Just how much damage will the council and city manager let happen to Antelope Hills Golf Course before acting?
How long before General Manager Paul A. Parker will admit the reduction in play is because of his mistakes? Why have so many employees quit? What will it take to hire and keep a competent groundskeeper and let him do his job?
I have been playing Antelope Hills Golf Course for 15 years and have never seen it in such bad shape. I used to be able to tell people "especially for a public golf course, it is fun to play and in very good shape." I can no longer say that.
They have gutted some of the challenges that gave it character to increase speed of play and in doing so decreased the fun.
Someone had better wake up.
