Officers arrest armed suspects in shoplifting incident

Prescott Police arrested a 22-year-old man and a male juvenile, both from Ash Fork, on shoplifting and weapons charges at Best Buy in Prescott Tuesday.

Jose Luis Iriondo and the juvenile, whose age was not available, were acting suspiciously, according to security personnel. They saw Iriondo pull out a concealed .45 caliber semi-automatic pistol and give it to the juvenile. The juvenile put the gun in his front waistband and covered it with his shirt. The two suspects paid for a CD and then tried to leave the store with a shoplifted CD by the Mexican-American rapper Chingo Bling.

Police arrested Jose Luis Iriondo on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm during a drug offense, shoplifting and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police booked the juvenile into detention on charges of weapons misconduct involving carrying a concealed weapon and being a minor in possession of a deadly weapon.
