Obituary: Victor B. Devlin

Victor B. Devlin, who was born Jan. 14, 1918, in Ridgetown, Ontario, Canada, to Henry Devlin and Isabel Steeple Devlin, died Sept. 6, 2007, in Mesa, Ariz., where he had made his home. He was 89.

Victor was a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He devoted many years to radiology research in Ann Arbor and worked with a partner to invent the first dye injector for heart treatment.

As an employee of Bendix Aerospace in Ann Arbor, he worked with a group to put the first man on the moon.

Victor was a veteran of World War II and served under General Patton. He resided in Payson, Wickenburg, Diamond Valley and Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Victor is survived by Mary B. Devlin, his wife of 44 years; daughter Dorothy B. Goodman and her husband Troy W. Goodman; granddaughter Lacy Goodman and grandson Cody Goodman, all of Mesa, Ariz.
