Police Report: Saturday accident hospitalized nine people

The Daily Courier

New information from the Prescott Valley Police Department indicates that the Saturday afternoon accident on Highway 89A actually hospitalized nine people, not four as originally reported.

Commander Laura Molinaro of the PVPD said that officials transported nine people from the accident, four by helicopter and five by ambulance, to hospitals. Of the four who left by helicopter, Molinaro said that one went to the Flagstaff Medical Center, one went to John C. Lincoln Hospital in Phoenix, and two went to St. Joseph's Medical Center in Phoenix.

The accident took place at approximately 5 p.m. on Saturday, when a Chevrolet Suburban traveling eastbound struck an Acura Integra sedan, traveling east, on its passenger side. A 16-year-old female, who was driving the Integra, was one of the people who went to a hospital by helicopter.
