Obituary: Billie Raye West

Billie Raye West, age 61, passed away peacefully on Nov. 28, 2007, at her home in Boulder City, Nev. She was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Prescott, Ariz., to Jeremiah Raymond and Elba Shofner Shook.

She attended Arizona State University and later became a beautician, a profession she loved and worked in for thirty-five years. She married Timothy J. West on June 2, 1979, in the Mesa, Ariz., LDS Temple. Her life was filled with serving, comforting and loving all those around her. She loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and spent countless hours serving and teaching in Christ's name.

Billie is survived by her beloved husband, Tim; four of her children, Tom (Susanne) Ericsson of Henderson, Doug (Jeni) Ericsson of Henderson, Johnathan (Tadi) West of Cane Beds, Ariz., and Morgan (Bruce) Dunn of Cedar City, Utah; 13 wonderful grandchildren; her sisters, Louise (Nova) Frasher of Prescott Valley, Ariz. and Kayleene (Mervin) Corbitt of Anthem, Ariz. Her daughter Rachel is deceased.

Mom, you are greatly loved and a wonderful example to each of us; enjoy your reunion with your family and friends on the other side and please save a place for us.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, at the LDS 5th Street Chapel; 916 5th Street Boulder City, Nev. We express thanks and appreciation to everyone who blessed her and our family during the fifteen years she courageously battled cancer.
