Task force arrests seven on DUI charges
PRESCOTT - The Tri-City DUI Task Force arrested seven drivers on suspicion of driving under the influence during saturation patrols on Saturday.
Thirteen officers from five agencies stopped 55 vehicles, which resulted in three DUI felony arrests and four misdemeanor arrests.
Prescott Police Sgt. Tim Fletcher said the average blood-alcohol level was 0.10. The legal limit in Arizona is 0.08. Fletcher said the reason it was fairly low is because three of the four misdemeanor arrests involved drugs - marijuana and methamphetamine.
Officers also issued one ticket each for minor consumption while driving, minor consumption and a seatbelt violation, as well as 55 other miscellaneous citations.
