Warrant sweep resulted in 14 arrests
PRESCOTT - A warrant sweep across the tricity area this past week resulted in 14 arrests and the clearance of 19 warrants, the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office says.
The Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with three local police departments and the U.S. Marshal's Office, served 180 arrest warrants in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Chino Valley and Paulden. Of the arrests, six were felonies. The warrants covered violations that involved traffic citations, failure to pay child support, probation violations and drug charges.
The warrant sweep was a success because local law enforcement worked as a team, the Sheriff's Off ice says, promising similar efforts in the future within the county.
