Sheriff's office seeks copper thieves

DEWEY - The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office wants to find thieves who stole $10,000 worth of copper wire and tools early Thursday morning from MDI Rock, Inc. in Dewey.

The complainant told deputies the suspects broke into the office through a window and cut the power sometime during Wednesday evening.

Then they used a front loader belonging to MDI to break through a steel gate and load the stolen items into a vehicle to carry them away.

This route out of the area is on Forest Road 151, which links to Highway 89A.

People with information should call the Sheriff's Office at 771-3260 or Yavapai Silent Witness at 800-932-3232.
