Obituary: Bernice Frances Saverino
After a lengthy illness, Bernice Frances Saverino passed away at 1:15 a.m. July 4, 2007.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Salvatore Anthony Saverino; their daughter Michelle Eaton of Carlsbad, Calif.; son Mark Saverino of San Diego, Calif.; son Cassio Saverino of Peoria, Ariz.; son Frank Saverino of Peoria, Ariz.; eight grandchildren; and two sisters, Isabel Bengford of Templeton, Iowa, and Elizabeth Volz of Flushing, Mich.
She and her husband moved to Chino Valley from Mahopac, N.Y., in April of 1987. Since their arrival, she has been very active in community service.
A member of St. Catherine LaBoure Roman Catholic Church, she was one of the cofounders and board member of the Chino Valley Victory
literacy program, cofounder of the local St. Vincent DePaul Society, Treasurer of the Chino Valley Food Bank, coordinator of the AARP tax preparers program and a member of the Chino/Paulden
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2007, in Chino Valley at St. Catherine LaBoure Roman Catholic Church. Anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution please make out the check to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, the Chino Valley Foodbank, or the Chino/Paulden Ministerial Association.
